Police to launch special drive against vehicles
ITANAGAR, Sept 19: A special drive against unregistered vehicles in Capital Complex is being launched by capital police.
No riders can ply or drive any vehicle without proper registration number plates. Driving any vehicle without proper registration and driving license is punishable offence under sections 39/192 and 3/181 of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, Capital SP informed in a release.
The drive is being launched to curb plying of vehicles without proper documents, driving license and number plates.

ITANAGAR, Sept 19: The Arunachal Pradesh Range Forest Officers Association has deeply mourned the sudden demise of Range Forest Officer (RFO) R P Singh who died on 16th of this month at his home town Varanasi. Born on 15th July 1964, late Singh joined forest department as forest ranger in the year 1958 and served in different parts of state.
The association stated that with death of RP Singh, department has lost very prominent and energetic member of the association. Late Singh is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons.

Blanket ban on illegal fishing & hunting
ITANAGAR, Sept 19: The 14th Rose Panchayat under Papum Pare district has put blanket ban on illegal fishing, hunting and extraction of forest resources under its jurisdiction, according to a release by Youth Association of Rose Panchayat (YARP).

The representatives of the four groups presented their reports on their group work exercise of two days. The Group Work exercise adopted participatory approach and helped identify the key issues related to teacher management, role of DEO and BEOs in the context of Right to Education (RTE), teacher management issues in education, school and community linkages, dealing with diversity and inclusion of various tribal groups.
Prof. Neelam Sood of NUEPA said that the objectives of the conference were to provide a platform for the delegates in sharing their experiences and to understand the trainings needs for different districts of the state.
The groups identified the issues and problems, their current and innovative strategies that were being adopted to address the issues, and gave suggestive measures for further improvement at different levels of educational administration, she added.

ITANAGAR, Sept 19: Chief Minister Nabam Tuki inaugurated the newly constructed Panchayat Zilla Parishad Chairperson office amidst gathering of officers, ZPMs and public leaders at Yupia today. This office will serve the need of the people in the district and Panchayat leaders in particular he said after inauguration. The building was constructed under SPA through Director (PR) at an estimated cost of Rs.100.00 lakhs, total fund sanction Rs.90.00 laks, total fund released Rs.87.30 laks and executed by DRDA, Papum Pare.
After the inauguration the Chief Minister also convened a review meeting with all the Head of Department of Papum Pare District in the conference hall. He reviewed all the achievements and other targets of various development projects implemented by different department in the district. He pointed out that many centrally sponsored schemes are undergoing in remote pockets of the district needs special attention and monitoring.
Calling for constant vigil and feedback to the govt on all developments of district he advised Deputy Commissioner to convened time to time review meeting of overall performance and achievement through video conferencing.
He added that Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Office is the first state in the country to launch video conferencing facility to connecting all the district headquarters. He also pointed out that such conferencing not only saves time but also help in quick delivery of decision.
He urged upon all the departments those implementing CSS schemes to strictly adhere to the time frame for its completion and timely submission of report to state Planning department for onward submission to the Govt of India.
The Chief Minister also instructed the all revenue earning departments like Power,
Tax and Excise, Geology and Mining, transport, forest, land etc to strictly monitor
and check the revenue leakages. Arunachal Pradesh was adjudged as highest revenue
collection state in the year 2011-
He also urged the officers to work sincerely towards successful implementation of National Food Security Ordinance in the district and to ensure enrolment every household those are entitled under the scheme.

He also assured that a market complex, a hospital, a B class Police station, treasury office, children park, construction of all weather CC roads in and around colony etc would be taken up in a phase manner. ITANAGAR, Sept 19: There are only six drug inspectors for the whole of Arunachal Pradesh and no drug testing laboratory has yet been established in this sensitive border state. This was disclosed by the Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council in a Press meet which was organized at Press Club today here on the occasion of all India awareness campaign on the role of pharmacists in the society and the problems being faced by pharmacists all over the India.
The awareness campaign under the theme “Indian Pharmacist Revolution yatra’ from Kashmir to Kanyakumari was lunched from Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on January 4 last and it covered Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Hariyana, Rajasthan and Gujarat during its first phase of campaign.
During its second phase of campaign, the yatra passed through Bihar, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal and other North Eastern states besides Arunachal Pradesh.
Establishment of drug testing laboratory is a must to check the standard and quality of drugs in Arunachal Pradesh, said registrar of Arunachal Pradesh Pharmacy Council (APPC) Nangbia Tapin. Tapin further disclosed that the pharmacists of the state are also deprived of the pay scale under 6th Pay Commission Recommendation.
Highlighting the role of pharmacists in improvement of health sector, the APPC vice president Minyo Blange called upon both state and central Govts to take steps for establishment of drug testing laboratory, drug information centre and appointment of adequate drug inspector in state. Arunachal which shares international border with foreign countries like Myanmar must have a drug testing laboratory, he said.
Arunachal Registered Pharmacist Association (ARPA) general secretary Tade Dui appealed to the state Govt to appoint pharmacists in various health centres in the state.

ITANAGAR, Sept 19: Two Mahindra Diesel Generator sets (Powerol) were provided to Apnes by Sat Bhavana Trust Mumbai in a simple function at Wakro yesterday. The DG sets were formally handed over by Virendra Singh, President of the Tinsukia Rotary Club who was accompanied by GN Rao of Hyderabad.
Chairman ASSET thanked Shyam Jai Singh and all in the Sat Bhavana Trust (SBT), Mumbai for providing the DG sets and Rajesh Todi of Assam Auto Agencies, Dibrugarh for the support provided in delivering the machines.

ITANAGAR, Sept 19: First ever Softball coaching camp was inaugurated at Sangey Ladhen Sports Academy, Chimpu by Gora Lotak, Councillor Ward No.18 of Itanagar Municipality in a simple function on Sept 16 last. Alltogether 92 players have turned up to participate in the camp.
